Strayers in the fog, now listen to me!

Sorry I post this photo twice. I forgot I have post it in September.
When this photo was taken the sky was fogged in that day. I was wondering that we human beeings just like strayers in the fog, living in endless dreams until we die. We don't know who we are, where we come from and where we will go. This universe is so complicated and so huge that we are and will be living in mystry. Only if we can think as Budda did, we would uncover the mystry of the whole world and ourselves.
However the problem is how many of us do believe in Budda? Can we think in the way as Budda did?

Workers are great

They are my colleagues and friends for many years who run a small mechanical wrokshop. At the beginning years they provided the mechanical support for our research in optics. Now they are a little bit independent of our research. Nice friends who we respected. A bit sad thing is that I saw them getting old day by day and so I am. I saw clearly the trace of time from that fact that the lady's front teeth were retired.

The culture of HIT

I sometimes just wonder what is the culture of Harbin Institute of Technology (HIT), our university we loved? I tried to find but unfortunitely without any result. The culture of HIT is no culture in HIT.

Please see those slogans, those beautiful words were welded, casted, forged with steal wtih ions with industry! "处理未来，铸造光荣，锻压青春，焊接理想"... My God ...

"人生之电，源自规格" ...Who knows what it mean? Logically it is absolutely wrong. From aesthetic point of view? My god please don't ....
